About VTLWaveNet

VTLWaveNet, part of the Viatel Group, was set-up early in 2007 to exploit the combination of this advanced European network with metro fibre reach into major business districts, to offer its customers Wavelengths up to 40Gbps (both protected and unprotected), Leased Lines up to STM-64, Ethernet, Co-location and Dark Fibre.

The core activity of VTLWaveNet includes operating the extensive European long distance network (8,500km fibre route) in the UK, Netherlands, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy accessing many carrier neutral facilities and Internet Exchanges.  We also own and operate 10 metro networks in the main European business centres. The VTLWaveNet fibre (wholly owned diverse subsea cables) between UK and continental Europe avoids the Channel Tunnel and the Docklands and therefore provides redundancy to most other providers.
  
Because we own the underlying physical infrastructure and have equipped the network with high capacity optical DWDM technology plus multi-service platforms, we can deliver all our services quickly, very cost effectively and at all speeds and interfaces.
